Erectile dysfunction medications seized in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medications have been seized by Department of Health authorities throughout a search of a home in Glengormley.

A man was interviewed by department officers about unlawfully importing and subsequently providing unlicensed impotence medications through the web.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medicine offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, stated: “It is essential that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medications can be unsafe.

“These types of items being offered, generally online, have actually gone through no quality assurance and there can be no assurance about their security.

“You just do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More notably, you do not know the result drugs like this may have on your health.”
